Georgia High School Basketball - Monroe Area can't hold off Johns Creek
December 29, 2023: Monroe, GA 30656 The Johns Creek Gladiators basketball team scored 44 points and held the host Monroe Area Purple Hurricanes to 38 in the Gladiators non-league triumph on Friday.
The Gladiators now sport a 2-13 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Madison County for a non-league contest on Saturday, December 30. Johns Creek will battle a Red Raiders team coming off a 56-32 non-league win over Mountain View (Lawrenceville, GA). The Red Raiders record now stands at 7-6.
The Purple Hurricanes (2-7) will now prepare for their contest against Mountain View (Lawrenceville, GA). The Bears enter the non-league contest with a 3-9 record. In their last contest, Mountain View was nudged by Madison County (Danielsville, GA), 56-32, in a non-league contest.
