Illinois High School Basketball - Kaneland tops Proviso West
December 29, 2023: Hillside, IL 60162 Fans at Friday's non-league challenge between the Kaneland Knights (Maple Park, IL) and the host Proviso West Panthers (Hillside, IL), saw Kaneland's basketball squad knock off Proviso West by a tally of 52-36.
With the victory, Kaneland improves its record to 12-6 on the campaign. The Knights travel to Morris (Morris, IL) to play the Redskins in a Interstate 8 challenge on Wednesday, January 3. The Redskins come into the challenge with a record of 13-3.
Next up, the Panthers play the Oak Park-River Forest Huskies (Oak Park, IL) in a West Suburban - Silver challenge, on Friday, January 5. Proviso West will attempt to improve on its 3-9 season record. The Huskies come into the challenge with a 3-14 record after their 50-21 non-league win over Lincoln Park (Chicago, IL).
