Fans at Friday's non-league challenge between the Klein Bearkats (Klein, TX) and the host Leander Lions (Leander, TX), saw Klein's basketball squad hold off Leander by a tally of 40-37.

With the victory, Klein improves its record to 14-11 on the campaign. The Bearkats travel to Vandegrift (Austin, TX) to confront the Vipers in a non-league challenge on Friday, December 29. The Vipers come into the challenge with a record of 15-6. Vandegrift lost 71-44 in their recent non-league challenge against Glenn (Leander, TX)

Next up, the Lions confront the Burnet Bulldogs (Burnet, TX) in a non-league challenge, on Friday, December 29. Leander will attempt to improve on its 8-14 season record.
