Texas High School Basketball - Liberty Hill thwarts Lake Creek
December 29, 2023: Liberty Hill, TX 78642 The Liberty Hill Panthers (Liberty Hill, TX) basketball knocked off the visiting Lake Creek Lions (Montgomery, TX), 40-28 in Friday's non-league test.
The Panthers (23-0) will now prepare for their test against Lehman (Kyle, TX). The Lobos go into the 5A Region IV District 25 test with a 6-11 record. In their last test, Lehman went down by Rouse (Leander, TX), 52-21, in a league test.
The Lions now own a 15-7 record. They play next when they travel to Lake Travis for a non-league test on Saturday, December 30. Lake Creek will encounter a Cavaliers squad coming off a 57-49 non-league loss to Winnsboro (Winnsboro, TX). The Cavaliers record now stands at 17-7.
