Arkansas High School Basketball - Lamar fells Sylvan Hills
December 29, 2023: Lamar, AR 72846 Lamar Warriors (Lamar, AR) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Sylvan Hills Bears (Sherwood, AR), 55-36 in a non-league bout.
With the win, Lamar upgrades its record to 14-2 on the season. The Warriors travel to Atkins (Atkins, AR) to clash with the Red Devils in a 3A Region 5 bout on Friday, January 5. The Red Devils go into the bout with a record of 6-8. Atkins lost 56-44 in their recent non-league bout against Prairie Grove (Prairie Grove, AR)
Next up, the Bears clash with the Charleston Tigers (Charleston, AR) in a non-league bout, on Saturday, December 30. Sylvan Hills will attempt to upgrade on its 1-7 season record. The Tigers go into the bout with a 6-8 record after their 51-42 non-league loss to Pottsville (Pottsville, AR).
