McLaughlin Mustangs (McLaughlin, SD) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the visiting Pine Ridge Thorpes (Pine Ridge, SD), 67-37 in a non-league bout.

With the win, McLaughlin upgrades its record to 5-2 on the season. The Mustangs travel to Stanley County (Fort Pierre, SD) to clash with the Buffalos in a A Region 6 bout on Thursday, January 4. The Buffalos go into the bout with a record of 0-7.

Next up, the Thorpes clash with the Little Wound Mustangs (Kyle, SD) in a A Region 7 bout, on Thursday, January 11. Pine Ridge will attempt to upgrade on its 2-4 season record.
