Texas High School Basketball - University ripped by Mesquite
December 29, 2023: Waco, TX 76706 In Friday's non-league match, the visiting Mesquite Skeeters basketball team scored a decisive 69-45 triumph over the University Trojans.
In their next game, the Skeeters meet the Royse City Bulldogs (Royse City, TX) in a 6A Region II District 10 match, on Tuesday, January 2. Mesquite will attempt to move on its 23-4 season record. The Bulldogs enter the match with a 20-3 record after their 54-45 non-league win over West Oso (Corpus Christi, TX).
With the defeat, University moves to 1-15 on the year. The Trojans travel to Belton (Belton, TX) to meet the Tigers in a 5A Region III District 22 match on Tuesday, January 2. The Tigers enter the match with a record of 3-19. Belton lost 41-32 in their recent non-league match against Del Valle (Del Valle, TX)
