Massachusetts High School Basketball - Newton South tipped by Millbury
December 29, 2023: Newton, MA 02459 The Millbury Woolies basketball team scored 38 points and held the host Newton South Lions to 35 in the Woolies non-league triumph on Friday.
The Woolies now sport a 3-3 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Auburn for a South Worcester County - C contest on Wednesday, January 3. Millbury will meet a Rockets team coming off a 63-29 league win over Oxford (Oxford, MA). The Rockets record now stands at 2-3.
The Lions (0-2) will now prepare for their contest against Acton-Boxborough (Acton, MA). The Colonials enter the Dual County - Large contest with a 5-1 record. In their last contest, Acton-Boxborough nudged Everett (Everett, MA), 57-37, in a non-league contest.
