Oregon High School Basketball - Southwest Christian overwhelms Portland Christian
December 29, 2023: Portland, OR 97230 Fans at Friday's non-league challenge between the Southwest Christian Wildcats (Beaverton, OR) and the host Portland Christian Royals (Portland, OR), saw Southwest Christian's basketball squad wallop Portland Christian by a count of 60-15.
With the victory, Southwest Christian upgrades its record to 9-3 on the campaign. The Wildcats host North Clackamas Christian (Oregon City, OR) to play the Saints in a 1A Valley 10 challenge on Tuesday, January 2. The Saints come into the challenge with a record of 7-2. North Clackamas Christian won 48-15 in their recent non-league challenge against Mohawk (Marcola, OR)
Next up, the Royals play the Nestucca Bobcats (Cloverdale, OR) in a 2A Northwest challenge, on Wednesday, January 3. Portland Christian will attempt to upgrade on its 3-7 season record. The Bobcats come into the challenge with a 7-3 record after their 58-26 non-league win over Irrigon (Irrigon, OR).
