Oregon High School Basketball - Sutherlin overwhelms Scappoose
December 29, 2023: Scappoose, OR 97056 Fans at Friday's non-league challenge between the Sutherlin Bulldogs (Sutherlin, OR) and the host Scappoose Indians (Scappoose, OR), saw Sutherlin's basketball squad wallop Scappoose by a tally of 59-33.
With the victory, Sutherlin improves its record to 10-1 on the campaign. The Bulldogs host Coquille (Coquille, OR) to confront the Red Devils in a 3A Far West challenge on Wednesday, January 3. The Red Devils come into the challenge with a record of 13-0. Coquille won 38-35 in their recent non-league challenge against Bandon (Bandon, OR)
Next up, the Indians confront the Astoria Fishermen (Astoria, OR) in a 4A Cowapa challenge, on Friday, January 5. Scappoose will attempt to improve on its 5-5 season record. The Fishermen come into the challenge with a 4-4 record after their 57-32 non-league win over Valley Catholic (Beaverton, OR).
