Rhode Island High School Basketball - West Warwick tops Scituate
December 29, 2023: West Warwick, RI 02893 Fans at Friday's non-league challenge between the West Warwick Wizards (West Warwick, RI) and the visiting Scituate Spartans (North Scituate, RI), saw West Warwick's basketball squad knock off Scituate by a tally of 45-37.
With the victory, West Warwick improves its record to 6-2 on the campaign. The Wizards host Cranston East (Cranston, RI) to play the Thunderbolts in a Division 2 challenge on Wednesday, January 3. The Thunderbolts come into the challenge with a record of 1-5. Cranston East lost 71-49 in their recent non-league challenge against Cranston West (Cranston, RI)
Next up, the Spartans play the St. Raphael Academy Saints (Pawtucket, RI) in a Division 1 challenge, on Saturday, December 30. Scituate will attempt to improve on its 2-2 season record. The Saints come into the challenge with a 0-5 record after their 62-19 league loss to La Salle Academy (Providence, RI).
