Texas High School Basketball - Windthorst tops Vernon
December 29, 2023: Windthorst, TX 76389 Spectators at Friday's non-league test between the Windthorst Trojans (Windthorst, TX) and the visiting Vernon Lions (Vernon, TX), witnessed Windthorst's basketball squad topple Vernon by a margin of 72-53.
The Trojans (9-4) will now prepare for their test against Bryson (Bryson, TX). The Cowboys go into the non-league test with a 0-12 record.
The Lions now own a 11-13 record. They play next when they host Henrietta for a 3A Region I District 7 test on Tuesday, January 2. Vernon will encounter a Bearcats squad coming off a 52-47 non-league loss to Gordon (Gordon, TX). The Bearcats record now stands at 1-10.
