The Cardinal Gibbons Crusaders basketball team scored 52 points and held the host Panther Creek Catamounts to 51 in the Crusaders non-league triumph on Friday.

The Crusaders now sport a 7-1 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Chapel Hill for a non-league contest on Wednesday, January 3. Cardinal Gibbons will battle a Tigers team coming off a 59-49 non-league win over Eastern Alamance (Mebane, NC). The Tigers record now stands at 8-0.

The Catamounts (7-3) will now prepare for their contest against Apex (Apex, NC). The Cougars enter the non-league contest with a 3-3 record.
