The Garner Trojans topped the visiting East Wake Warriors basketball team by a final score of 71-52 in Friday's non-league game.

In their next game, the Trojans face the Clayton Comets (Clayton, NC) in a non-league game, on Friday, January 5. Garner will attempt to move on its 5-3 season record. The Comets enter the game with a 4-5 record after their 65-60 non-league loss to Wakefield (Raleigh, NC).

With the defeat, East Wake moves to 4-5 on the season. The Warriors host Southern Wayne (Dudley, NC) to clash with the Saints in a non-league outing on Tuesday, January 2. The Saints go into the outing with a record of 4-2. Southern Wayne lost 63-35 in their recent non-league outing against Eastern Wayne (Goldsboro, NC)
