Valley Vikings (Sacramento, CA) fans were thrilled Friday as they observed their soccer team knock off the visiting Franklin Wildcats (Elk Grove, CA), 2-0 in a non-league challenge.

Next, the Vikings confront the Cordova Lancers (Rancho Cordova, CA) in a Greater Sacramento League challenge, on Wednesday, January 3. Valley will attempt to better on its 13-3 season record. The Lancers enter the challenge with a 6-2 record after their 1-1 league Natomas (Sacramento, CA).

The Wildcats now have a 3-4 record. They take the field next when they travel to Vista del Lago for a non-league challenge on Tuesday, January 2. Franklin will confront a Eagles team coming off a 3-0 league win over El Camino (Sacramento, CA). The Eagles record now stands at 7-1.
