New York High School Basketball - Bishop Hendricken holds off William Floyd
December 29, 2024: Mastic Beach, NY 11951 The Bishop Hendricken Hawks basketball team scored 65 points and limited the host William Floyd Colonials to 61 in the Hawks non-league triumph on Sunday.
The Hawks now have a 1-2 record. They play next when they travel to Cumberland for a Division I game on Friday, January 3. Bishop Hendricken will confront a Clippers team coming off a 58-52 non-league loss to North Providence (North Providence, RI). The Clippers record now stands at 2-5.
With the loss, William Floyd falls to 2-1 on the campaign. The Colonials travel to Half Hollow Hills East (Dix Hills, NY) to confront the Thunderbirds in a non-league game on Saturday, January 4. The Thunderbirds go into the game with a record of 0-0.
