Kentucky High School Basketball - Cumberland County nips Wolfe County
December 29, 2024: Burkesville, KY 42717 In Sunday's non-league contest, the host Cumberland County Panthers basketball team scored a close 68-66 triumph over the Wolfe County Wolves.
The Panthers (5-3) will now prepare for their contest against Jackson County (Gainesboro, TN). The Blue Devils go into the non-league contest with a 9-1 record. In their last contest, Jackson County nipped Celebration (Celebration, FL), 56-48, in a non-league contest.
In their next game, the Wolves battle the Breathitt County Bobcats (Jackson, KY) in a District 55 contest, on Monday, January 6. Wolfe County will attempt to better on its 4-8 season record. The Bobcats go into the contest with a 8-3 record after their 67-48 non-league win over Letcher County Central (Whitesburg, KY).
