December 29, 2024: Newburyport, MA 01950 The Newburyport Clippers basketball team scored 85 points and limited the visiting St. John's Prep Eagles to 62 in the Clippers non-league triumph on Sunday.
The Clippers now possess a 3-1 record. They play next when they host North Reading for a Cape Ann - Large game on Tuesday, January 7. Newburyport will confront a Hornets team coming off a 58-47 league loss to Lynnfield (Lynnfield, MA). The Hornets record now stands at 1-2.
