In Monday's non-league test, the Avon Lake Shoremen (Avon Lake, OH) basketball squad defeated the visiting Trinity Trojans (Garfield Heights, OH), by a score of 70-53.

Next, the Shoremen clash with the Olmsted Falls Bulldogs (Olmsted Falls, OH) in a Southwestern test, on Tuesday, January 6. Avon Lake will attempt to improve on its 3-6 season record. The Bulldogs go into the bout with a 4-3 record after their 64-55 non-league loss to Gilmour Academy (Gates Mills, OH).

With the loss, Trinity falls to 1-6 on the campaign. The Trojans travel to Holy Name (Parma Heights, OH) to play the Green Wave in a non-league bout on Saturday, January 3. The Green Wave go into the bout with a record of 2-7. Holy Name lost 66-47 in their recent non-league bout against Richmond Heights (Richmond Heights, OH)
