The Heard County Braves basketball squad (Franklin, GA), was crushed 53-30 in Monday's non-league battle with the visiting Cartersville Hurricanes (Cartersville, GA)

With the win, Cartersville betters its record to 9-1 on the season. The Hurricanes travel to Woodstock (Woodstock, GA) to battle the Wolverines in a non-league challenge on Saturday, January 3. The Wolverines come into the challenge with a record of 5-8. Woodstock lost 64-49 in their recent non-league challenge against Silverdale Academy (Chattanooga, TN)

Next up, the Braves meet the Holy Innocents Episcopal Golden Bears (Atlanta, GA) in a non-league match, on Tuesday, December 30. Heard County will attempt to advance on its 4-5 season record.
