In Friday's non-league match, the host Ponderosa Bruins basketball team scored a decisive 44-16 triumph over the Florin Panthers.

In their next game, the Bruins meet the Sierra Academy of Expeditionary Learning Fire Wolves (Nevada City, CA) in a non-league match, on Wednesday, December 8. Ponderosa will attempt to move on its 2-2 season record. The Fire Wolves enter the match with a 2-0 record after their 38-11 non-league win over Western Sierra Collegiate Academy (Rocklin, CA).
