Kentucky High School Basketball - Lexington Christian nips Woodford County
December 3, 2022: Lexington, KY 40503 Lexington Christian Eagles (Lexington, KY) backers were pleased Saturday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the visiting Woodford County Yellowjackets (Versailles, KY), 71-67 in a non-league bout.
With the victory, Lexington Christian upgrades its record to 1-0 on the campaign. The Eagles host Tates Creek (Lexington, KY) to play the Commodores in a District 43 bout on Tuesday, December 6. The Commodores come into the bout with a record of 2-1. Tates Creek won 61-57 in their recent non-league bout against Boone County (Florence, KY)
Next up, the Yellowjackets play the Oldham County Colonels (Buckner, KY) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, December 6. Woodford County will attempt to upgrade on its 0-1 season record. The Colonels come into the bout with a 1-2 record after their 74-69 non-league loss to Christian County (Hopkinsville, KY).
