The West Brook Bruins (Beaumont, TX) basketball nipped the visiting Cypress Springs Panthers (Cypress, TX), 49-44 in Saturday's non-league test.

The Bruins (18-1) will now prepare for their test against Summer Creek (Houston, TX). The Bulldogs go into the 6A Region III District 21 test with a 13-1 record. In their last test, Summer Creek got by Shadow Creek (Pearland, TX), 71-60, in a non-league test.
