The Greater Latrobe Wildcats basketball team scored 53 points and held the visiting River Valley Panthers to 52 in the Wildcats non-league triumph on Saturday.

The Wildcats now sport a 2-0 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Connellsville for a non-league contest on Thursday, January 5.

The Panthers (1-1) will now prepare for their contest against Bishop McCort (Johnstown, PA). The Crushers enter the non-league contest with a 1-1 record. In their last contest, Bishop McCort nudged Marion Center (Marion Center, PA), 62-55, in a non-league contest.
