Illinois High School Basketball - Hall can't hold off Wethersfield
December 3, 2022: Kewanee, IL 61443 The Wethersfield Flying Geese basketball team scored 33 points and restricted the visiting Hall Red Devils to 27 in the Flying Geese non-league victory on Saturday.
The Flying Geese now sport a 2-4 record. They put it on the line next when they host Annawan for a Lincoln Trail contest on Monday, December 5. Wethersfield will battle a Braves team coming off a 64-60 non-league loss to Brimfield (Brimfield, IL). The Braves record now stands at 3-3.
The Red Devils (3-4) will now prepare for their contest against Mendota (Mendota, IL). The Trojans come into the Three Rivers - East contest with a 2-4 record. In their last contest, Mendota was nudged by Putnam County (Granville, IL), 43-40, in a non-league contest.
