Texas High School Basketball - Taft crushes Irvin

Taft Raiders (San Antonio, TX) backers were in high spirits Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the visiting Irvin Rockets (El Paso, TX), 56-24 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Taft upgrades its record to 9-10 on the season. The Raiders host Harlan (San Antonio, TX) to play the Hawks in a 6A Region IV District 29 bout on Wednesday, December 7. The Hawks go into the bout with a record of 13-2. Harlan won 61-30 in their recent non-league bout against Smithson Valley (Spring Branch, TX)

Next up, the Rockets play the Harmony Science Academy (El Paso, TX) in a 4A Region I District 1 bout, on Tuesday, December 6. Irvin will attempt to upgrade on its 4-5 season record. The go into the bout with a 2-9 record after their 86-28 non-league loss to Canutillo (Canutillo, TX).
