Idaho High School Basketball - Melba thwarts South Fremont
December 3, 2022: Melba, ID 83641 The Melba Mustangs (Melba, ID) basketball knocked off the visiting South Fremont Cougars (St. Anthony, ID), 65-53 in Saturday's non-league test.
The Mustangs (7-0) will now prepare for their test against Nampa Christian (Nampa, ID). The Trojans go into the 2A Western Idaho test with a 2-3 record. In their last test, Nampa Christian notched a victory over Marsing (Marsing, ID), 30-24, in a league test.
The Cougars now own a 2-3 record. They play next when they host Firth for a non-league test on Tuesday, December 6. South Fremont will encounter a Cougars squad coming off a 58-53 non-league loss to Fruitland (Fruitland, ID). The Cougars record now stands at 1-4.
