The Mena Bearcats basketball team scored 63 points and held the visiting Pottsville Apaches to 53 in the Bearcats league triumph on Saturday.

The Bearcats now sport a 2-2 record. They put it on the line next when they host Fountain Lake for a 4A Region 4 contest on Wednesday, December 7. Mena will battle a Cobras team coming off a 58-40 league loss to Clarksville (Clarksville, AR). The Cobras record now stands at 1-4.

The Apaches (3-2) will now prepare for their contest against Morrilton (Morrilton, AR). The Devil Dogs enter the 4A Region 4 contest with a 3-1 record. In their last contest, Morrilton ran past Ozark (Ozark, AR), 54-38, in a league contest.
