The Mt. Vernon Wildcats basketball team (Mt. Vernon, IN), was overwhelmed 44-15 in Saturday's league battle with the host Pike Central Chargers (Petersburg, IN)

The Chargers now possess a 1-7 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to South Spencer for a Pocket battle on Monday, December 5. Pike Central will confront a Rebels team coming off a 59-21 non-league win over South Central (Elizabeth, IN). The Rebels record now stands at 7-1.

The Wildcats (1-7) will now prepare for their battle against Evansville Mater Dei (Evansville, IN). The Wildcats come into the non-league battle with a 4-3 record. In their last battle, Evansville Mater Dei was overwhelmed by Evansville Reitz (Evansville, IN), 61-38, in a league battle.
