California High School Basketball - American nips Evergreen Valley
December 3, 2022: San Jose, CA 95148 American Eagles (Fremont, CA) backers were pleased Saturday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the host Evergreen Valley Cougars (San Jose, CA), 62-59 in a non-league bout.
With the victory, American upgrades its record to 2-0 on the campaign. The Eagles host Irvington (Fremont, CA) to play the Vikings in a bout on Tuesday, December 6. The Vikings come into the bout with a record of 0-2. Irvington lost 60-55 in their recent non-league bout against College Park (Pleasant Hill, CA)
Next up, the Cougars play the Hollister Haybalers (Hollister, CA) in a non-league bout, on Thursday, December 8. Evergreen Valley will attempt to upgrade on its 3-1 season record. The Haybalers come into the bout with a 1-0 record after their 55-39 non-league win over Watsonville (Watsonville, CA).
