In Tuesday's non-league contest, the visiting Sonora Broncos basketball team scored a close 60-54 triumph over the Ballinger Bearcats.

The Broncos (1-2) will now prepare for their contest against Irion County (Mertzon, TX). The Hornets go into the non-league contest with a 2-1 record. In their last contest, Irion County was tipped by Ozona (Ozona, TX), 48-47, in a non-league contest.

In their next game, the Bearcats battle the Quanah Indians (Quanah, TX) in a non-league contest, on Friday, December 6. Ballinger will attempt to better on its 1-4 season record. The Indians go into the contest with a 6-3 record after their 52-17 non-league win over Roby (Roby, TX).
