Texas High School Basketball - Hays holds off Johnson
December 3, 2024: Buda, TX 78610 The Hays Hawks basketball team scored 45 points and limited the visiting Johnson Jaguars to 38 in the Hawks non-league triumph on Tuesday.
The Hawks now have a 5-6 record. They play next when they travel to Cedar Creek for a non-league game on Thursday, December 5. Hays will confront a Eagles team coming off a 72-53 non-league loss to Cedar Ridge (Round Rock, TX). The Eagles record now stands at 6-7.
With the loss, Johnson falls to 5-6 on the campaign. The Jaguars travel to Pieper (San Antonio, TX) to confront the Warriors in a non-league game on Friday, December 6. The Warriors go into the game with a record of 8-4. Pieper won 57-55 in their recent league game against Tivy (Kerrville, TX)
