The crowd at Wednesday's non-league challenge between the Bishop Ireton Cardinals (Alexandria, VA) and the visiting Benedictine Cadets (Richmond, VA), observed Bishop Ireton's basketball team overwhelm Benedictine by a score of 89-28.

The Cardinals (3-0) will now prepare for their challenge against Malvern Prep (Malvern, PA). The Friars come into the non-league challenge with a 1-1 record. In their last challenge, Malvern Prep walloped Bishop Shanahan (Downingtown, PA), 64-45, in a non-league battle.

The Cadets now own a 2-3 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Our Lady of Good Counsel for a non-league battle on Friday, December 5. Benedictine will meet a Falcons squad coming off a 78-58 non-league win over Southern Maryland Christian Academy (White Plains, MD). The Falcons record now stands at 1-0.
