The crowd at Wednesday's non-league challenge between the Burlingame Panthers (Burlingame, CA) and the visiting Leland Chargers (San Jose, CA), observed Burlingame's basketball team edge Leland by a margin of 55-52.

The Panthers (2-0) will now prepare for their match against Mountain View (Mountain View, CA). The Spartans enter the non-league match with a 1-1 record. In their last match, Mountain View tipped Fremont (Sunnyvale, CA), 55-48, in a non-league match.

The Chargers now own a 2-1 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Fremont for a non-league match on Thursday, December 4. Leland will meet a Firebirds squad coming off a 35-34 non-league win over Santa Teresa (San Jose, CA). The Firebirds record now stands at 1-0.
