The Gunston School Herons (Centreville, MD) backers went home pleased Wednesday as they observed their basketball team edge the host Salisbury Christian (Salisbury, MD), 40-37 in a non-league contest.

The Herons (1-2) will now prepare for their contest against Worcester Prep (Berlin, MD). The Mallards come into the non-league contest with a 0-2 record. In their last contest, Worcester Prep was tipped by Indian River (Dagsboro, DE), 47-42, in a non-league contest.

In their next game, the battle the Chincoteague Ponies (Chincoteague, VA) in a non-league contest, on Thursday, December 11. Salisbury Christian will attempt to better on its 0-1 season record.
