North Carolina High School Basketball - Swain County overwhelmed by Smoky Mountain

In Wednesday's non-league test, the Smoky Mountain Mustangs (Sylva, NC) basketball squad trounced the visiting Swain County Maroon Devils (Bryson City, NC), by a score of 92-60.

Next, the Mustangs encounter the Avery County Vikings (Newland, NC) in a non-league test, on Friday, December 5. Smoky Mountain will attempt to move on its 5-1 season record. The Vikings go into the bout with a 5-1 record after their 75-60 non-league win over Ashe County (West Jefferson, NC).

With the loss, Swain County falls to 0-1 on the campaign. The Maroon devils host Hiwassee Dam (Murphy, NC) to play the Eagles in a Smoky Mountain 1A/2A bout on Friday, December 5. The Eagles go into the bout with a record of 3-1. Hiwassee Dam won 71-29 in their recent non-league bout against Copper Basin (Copperhill, TN)
