In Wednesday's non-league game, the Northwest Catholic Lions (West Hartford, CT) football squad knocked off the visiting Cromwell/Portland Panthers (Cromwell, CT), by a margin of 31-21.

The Lions now sport a 10-1 record. They take the field next when they travel to Ansonia for a non-league outing on Monday, December 8. Northwest Catholic will clash with a Chargers squad coming off a 34-14 non-league win over Seymour (Seymour, CT). The Chargers record now stands at 8-3.

With the defeat, Cromwell/Portland falls to 9-2 on the year.
