Florida High School Soccer - Sebastian River toppled by Merritt Island
December 3, 2025: Merritt Island, FL 32953 Merritt Island Mustangs (Merritt Island, FL) fans went home in high spirits Wednesday as they observed their soccer squad prevail over the visiting Sebastian River Sharks (Sebastian, FL), 5-1 in a non-league outing.
The Mustangs (4-0) will now prepare for their test against Satellite (Satellite Beach, FL). The Scorpions come into the 4A - Region R2 - District D8 test with a 5-1 record. In their last test, Satellite edged Heritage (Palm Bay, FL), 2-0, in a non-league test.
The Sharks now have a 0-4 record. They take the field next when they host Port St. Lucie for a 5A - Region R4 - District D13 bout on Thursday, December 4. Sebastian River will play a Jaguars squad coming off a 2-2 non-league Palm Beach Gardens (Palm Beach Gardens, FL). The Jaguars record now stands at 2-3.
