Illinois High School Basketball - Orion thwarts Amboy
December 30, 2021: Orion, IL 61273 The Orion Chargers (Orion, IL) basketball knocked off the visiting Amboy Clippers (Amboy, IL), 55-45 in Thursday's non-league test.
The Chargers (3-10) will now prepare for their test against Sherrard (Sherrard, IL). The Tigers go into the Three Rivers - South test with a 2-5 record. In their last test, Sherrard went down by Byron (Byron, IL), 46-29, in a non-league test.
The Clippers now own a 5-9 record. They play next when they host Eastland for a Northwest Upstate Illini - South test on Tuesday, January 4. Amboy will encounter a Cougars squad coming off a 52-40 non-league loss to Pecatonica (Pecatonica, IL). The Cougars record now stands at 6-3.
