Illinois High School Basketball - Marist thwarts Centralia
December 30, 2021: Centralia, IL 62801 The Marist RedHawks (Chicago, IL) basketball knocked off the host Centralia Orphans (Centralia, IL), 54-44 in Thursday's non-league test.
The RedHawks (7-4) will now prepare for their test against Niles Notre Dame (Niles, IL). The Dons go into the East Suburban Catholic test with a 8-6 record. In their last test, Niles Notre Dame notched a victory over Glenbard North (Carol Stream, IL), 64-53, in a non-league test.
The Orphans now own a 11-1 record. They play next when they travel to Mt. Vernon for a non-league test on Thursday, December 30. Centralia will encounter a Rams squad coming off a 68-63 non-league win over Confluence Prep Academy (St. Louis, MO). The Rams record now stands at 10-2.
