Texas High School Basketball - Maud ripped by Cleburne
December 30, 2021: Maud, TX 75567 The Cleburne Yellowjackets basketball team scored 58 points and held the host Maud Cardinals to 18 in the Yellowjackets non-league triumph on Thursday.
The Yellowjackets now sport a 8-13 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Corsicana for a 5A Region II District 14 contest on Tuesday, January 4. Cleburne will meet a Tigers team coming off a 57-35 non-league win over Smithville (Smithville, TX). The Tigers record now stands at 9-10.
The Cardinals (5-14) will now prepare for their contest against McLeod (McLeod, TX). The Longhorns enter the 2A Region II District 16 contest with a 15-8 record. In their last contest, McLeod triumphed over Detroit (Detroit, TX), 40-35, in a league contest.
