The Cypress Ranch Mustangs basketball team scored 67 points and restricted the visiting College Park Cavaliers to 59 in the Mustangs non-league victory on Thursday.

The Mustangs now sport a 12-8 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Cypress Woods for a 6A Region II District 16 contest on Wednesday, January 5. Cypress Ranch will battle a Wildcats team coming off a 49-47 non-league loss to Kingwood (Kingwood, TX). The Wildcats record now stands at 7-13.

The Cavaliers (13-8) will now prepare for their contest against Oak Ridge (Conroe, TX). The War Eagles come into the 6A Region II District 13 contest with a 7-14 record. In their last contest, Oak Ridge was defeated by Ball (Galveston, TX), 61-47, in a non-league contest.
