The West Lincoln Rebels (Lincolnton, NC) basketball nipped the host Highland Tech Rams (Gastonia, NC), 74-70 in Thursday's non-league battle.

The Rebels now possess a 4-8 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Bunker Hill for a 2A Conference 45 battle on Tuesday, January 4. West Lincoln will battle a Bears team coming off a 56-55 non-league loss to Maiden (Maiden, NC). The Bears record now stands at 2-9.

The Rams (2-8) will now prepare for their battle against Shelby (Shelby, NC). The Golden Lions go into the 1A/2A Conference 40 test with a 2-4 record.
