Fans at Thursday's non-league challenge between the Palestine Wildcats (Palestine, TX) and the visiting LaPoynor Flyers (LaRue, TX), saw Palestine's basketball squad wallop LaPoynor by a tally of 77-50.

With the victory, Palestine improves its record to 11-4 on the campaign. The Wildcats travel to Van (Van, TX) to confront the Vandals in a non-league challenge on Monday, January 3. The Vandals come into the challenge with a record of 7-9. Van lost 61-27 in their recent non-league challenge against North Mesquite (Mesquite, TX)

Next up, the Flyers confront the China Spring Cougars (China Spring, TX) in a non-league challenge, on Thursday, December 30. LaPoynor will attempt to improve on its 18-3 season record. The Cougars come into the challenge with a 11-10 record after their 72-40 non-league win over Ovilla Christian (Red Oak, TX).
