The Shelton Gaels basketball team (Shelton, CT), was nudged 45-40 in Thursday's non-league battle with the visiting New Canaan Rams (New Canaan, CT)

The Rams now sport a 3-0 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Danbury for a Fairfield County battle on Saturday, January 8.

The Gaels (1-5) will now prepare for their battle against Lyman Hall (Wallingford, CT). The Trojans come into the non-league battle with a 1-2 record.
