December 30, 2021: Atlanta, GA 30345 The St. Pius X Catholic Golden Lions basketball team (Atlanta, GA), dropped 38-30 in Thursday's non-league battle with the visiting Athens Academy Spartans (Athens, GA)
The Spartans now possess a 9-5 record. They put it on the line next when they host George Walton Academy for a A Private Region 8 battle on Friday, January 7.
The Golden Lions (6-7) will now prepare for their battle against Clarkston (Clarkston, GA). The Angoras come into the AAAAA Region 5 battle with a 5-6 record. In their last battle, Clarkston dropped by Morrow (Morrow, GA), 40-23, in a non-league battle.
