Illinois High School Basketball - Simeon nips Benet Academy
December 30, 2022: Lisle, IL 60532 Simeon Wolverines (Chicago, IL) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the host Benet Academy Redwings (Lisle, IL), 52-49 in a non-league bout.
With the win, Simeon upgrades its record to 12-0 on the season. The Wolverines travel to Cathedral (Indianapolis, IN) to play the Fighting Irish in a non-league bout on Friday, January 6. The Fighting Irish go into the bout with a record of 6-1.
Next up, the Redwings play the St. Patrick Shamrocks (Chicago, IL) in a East Suburban Catholic bout, on Friday, January 6. Benet Academy will attempt to upgrade on its 16-1 season record. The Shamrocks go into the bout with a 10-4 record after their 57-39 non-league loss to York (Elmhurst, IL).
