Pennsylvania High School Basketball - Pine-Richland can't hold off Blackhawk
December 30, 2022: Beaver Falls, PA 15010 The Blackhawk Cougars basketball team scored 53 points and restricted the visiting Pine-Richland Rams to 51 in the Cougars non-league victory on Friday.
The Cougars now sport a 5-3 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Beaver for a WPIAL 4A 2 contest on Friday, January 6. Blackhawk will battle a Bobcats team coming off a 59-45 non-league win over Upper St. Clair (Upper St. Clair, PA). The Bobcats record now stands at 8-1.
The Rams (2-6) will now prepare for their contest against Central Catholic (Pittsburgh, PA). The Vikings come into the WPIAL 6A 1 contest with a 3-4 record. In their last contest, Central Catholic edged John Carroll (Bel Air, MD), 80-74, in a non-league contest.
