California High School Basketball - Calipatria nips Varsity Opponent
December 30, 2022: Calipatria, CA 92233 Calipatria Hornets (Calipatria, CA) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting Varsity Opponent (, ), 55-50 in a non-league bout.
With the win, Calipatria upgrades its record to 8-9 on the season. The Hornets travel to Imperial (Imperial, CA) to play the Tigers in a Desert bout on Tuesday, January 10. The Tigers go into the bout with a record of 6-4.
Next up, the play the Mount Hope Christian Academy Warriors (Mount Hope, WV) in a non-league bout, on Friday, December 30. Varsity Opponent will attempt to upgrade on its 174-584 season record. The Warriors go into the bout with a 7-1 record after their 76-29 non-league win over Elk Valley Christian (Elkview, WV).
