Fans at Friday's non-league challenge between the Chase County Longhorns (Imperial, NE) and the visiting Mitchell Tigers (Mitchell, NE), saw Chase County's basketball squad wallop Mitchell by a tally of 69-33.

With the victory, Chase County improves its record to 2-4 on the campaign. The Longhorns host Dundy County-Stratton (Benkelman, NE) to play the Tigers in a non-league challenge on Tuesday, January 3. The Tigers come into the challenge with a record of 6-2. Dundy County-Stratton lost 47-44 in their recent non-league challenge against Maywood/Hayes Center (Maywood, NE)

Next up, the Tigers play the Chadron Cardinals (Chadron, NE) in a C1 District 12 challenge, on Saturday, January 7. Mitchell will attempt to improve on its 3-6 season record.
